Sergeant Alex Finger is the coordinating supervisor of the department's Recruiting Section. Annually, Sergeant Finger and his recruiting team will meet with hundreds of interested candidates who share the same dream that launched his own career.
"I grew up in Arkansas and after spending three years in the US Army serving my country, I wanted to continue my public service on a local level. Choosing the Arkansas State Police has been the most rewarding experience that I could have ever hoped for. Corporal Alvernon Rogers is currently assigned to the department's Recruiting Section and has spent most of his career since 1987 working as a road trooper.
"When I returned from Germany I wanted a job with some type of military structure, so I began researching my options and found the Arkansas State Police. Corporal Mary Minor is assigned to Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol, Troop H.
"When I was in college I decided to explore the idea of entering a law enforcement career. At first I thought about joining one of the local departments, but then realized there would be greater opportunities by becoming an Arkansas State Trooper. There was never any doubt in my mind that I could do the job and I haven’t ever looked back to second guess myself. It’s very rewarding when I stop to think what I’ve accomplished and the service that I provide every day to people who need help." |

Corporal Jorge Oseguera is assigned to Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol, Troop K.
"I decided to be in law enforcement when I was about 15 years old. Even back then at an early age I knew I wanted to be an Arkansas State Trooper. I really respected how professional State Troopers were when I saw them on the highways.
Today, I am an Arkansas State Trooper and have pride in myself for what I’ve accomplished in the tradition of this department over the past thirteen years. I enjoy meeting and helping the citizens and travelers of our state and I feel like I’m making a difference. My career as a State Trooper is very rewarding in so many ways and it’s an honor for me to protect and serve." |

Trooper Tiffany Hensley is among the newest generation of Arkansas State Troopers, however, she represents some of the rich and proud heritage found within the ranks of the department. Trooper Hensley grew-up in the ASP Family, the daughter of a State Police commander.
“I grew up in a state police family, most of the people I knew were state troopers. That really factored into my decision, that is, the pride and tradition associated with the organization, the respect people give the troopers because of what they do and what they stand for. A lot of organizations don’t have that, the state police does and I wanted to be a part of that.” |
